Ball Joints

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does it matter that these ball joints have small
ridges on them but the knuckle has a smooth
surface where you press them in?

Absolutely. If the parts are not an exact match expect to be replacing them in the next 3-5k miles. I would return them for the correct joints for replacement.
