Does anyone have a clue what this problem could be?

Asked by Donna Apr 14, 2014 at 12:27 PM about the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Grand Cherokee that is randomly shutting down. It has 280,000 miles, new
cam and crank sensors. Fault codes cannot be retrieved with key or scanner. Has
constant fuel pressure.

if it is shutting down at stops, clean your idle air control unit. if its dying while on the gas, check your grounds and battery, but it could be your pcm. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/12- things-you-can-do-when-your-zj-stalls-1407423/. if you have the time and knowhow, go through that list.
