pinion seal/bearing replacement cost

i have a 2000 grand cherokee larado with the 4.0 select-a-trac i need to have my front pinion bearing and seal replaced how much could that run at 75$ per hour

Most shops have a time-estimate book, and they usually go by that. Any shop should be able to quote you hours. Add about $35 or so for shop fees on top of it. That particular axle has to have the axle shafts removed, and the 3rd member removed to access the pinion bearing. If it were just the seal, that can be done from outside, and would be less than an hour. I am betting the book will say at least 2.5 hours, if not more...
the race is a bugger to get out and in wiyhout f#@$ing it up or breaking the cast iron housing 2-2.5 hours sounds abt right
