Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 grand Cherokee limited. This all happened at same time heads up display
stated drivers door was open, so seatbelt light and dome lights stayed on. Door locks,
windows and  all info on heads up display disappeared . Found a broken wire in drivers
door boot this fixed door locks only.

what colors was the broken wire? Most wires have a tracer color also. blue with red tracer as an example....

fuse #8 in junction block(inside fuse box) 15 amp powers o/h console. do the map lights work? Fuse #22 in jb is switched power for o/h con. The ground to o/h is the same as seats g301

the other thing that all these items have in common is the body control module. It is possable that the wire breaking caused feedback into bcm and damaged it. The auto head lamps, o/h console lighting, doorlocksare bcm related, but not windows. You may want to look for another broke wire going into door. Do windows now work?
