2002 Jeep Cherokee Laredo stalls while driving

Asked by Trish3268 Jun 08, 2020 at 01:42 PM about the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughters Jeep stalls while driving and
sometimes while stopping at lights, sometimes it
starts back up and sometimes it takes awhile.  Took
it to have computer hooked up for codes but since
there is no check engine lights on the dash they tell
me it won’t show anything.  So we started just
replacing some common things people suggested
like idle control valve, throttle positioning sensor,
fuel filter, higher octane fuel with fuel treatment and
still the same problems.  What should I try next?
Thanks in advance

ive had this problem on a 1996 jeep it was crank shaft position sensor .got a 2001 jeep they dont like low voltage problems eg battery needs to be tip top, if it goes flat you need to re train the battery and computer take a good run
