04 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls while driving!!!

Asked by Shmaz79 May 31, 2019 at 08:05 PM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About a month ago, car stalled while driving.
Started right back up but did it again about 10
mins later. Started up again, but this time after a
few mins. It happened like this for about 2 weeks.
Then it started stalling WAY more often and
wouldnt start again for hours. Replaced the
ignition coil (no distributor cap on this engine) and
it started and drove like a champ!!!! It was stronger
than it had been in awhile. Then a week later, it
started stalling again!! It stalled 3 times on my 45
min drive to work, but started again after a bit each
time. Then it ran fine the rest of the day and the
following 2 days. Then it started stalling AGAIN!!!
Any ideas?? I am broke and cant afford shop work,
i do it all myself. Crank shaft? Anyone who has had
this problem and found a solution.... please help!!!!!

Take it to an auto parts store and scan for codes. It sounds like the crank shaft position sensor is failing, code P0320.
