Blower motor resistor

Hi l have a 2002 Grand Cherokee Jeep. The blower motor resistor fan worked
every so often, but now has completely stopped. l have replaced the blower
motor resistor and the plug, as the wires had melted in the plug, but the fan is
still not working. Can someone give me some other ideas in what else to check
and do. Cheers
