2002 JEEP GC special edition, I have a vibration/ wheel shake at 40 to 60 MPH

Asked by AGKLM303 Oct 02, 2016 at 09:53 AM about the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4WD

Question type: General

My vehicle has 165k & I haven't had any major issues until this summer. I have recently replaced my tires (250 miles on them) however the shake at highway speed persists. Odd thing, it's not all the time as it comes & goes. I'm thinking about changing the half shaft on the drivers front which is definitely where the shake is coming from...I want to be right before I spend the money. I have all new front brake parts, rotors, calipers & pads so it can't be rotor warp. HELP ME!!

Sounds like maybe one of the weights for balancing may be loose. Or maybe a steel belt may of came loose in a tire, my money is on tire ballance.
