Rear differential fluid type?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Getting ready to change the the fluid in the rear
differential fluid and need to know what type of
fluid to put in and how much to put in. Lost the
owners manual to check so I can't find the
information.

Not in all American third members ATM. Fords like mine use 75W/140.

Here is a maintenance schedule. For heavy duty use, use the 75W/140 full synthetic.

No opinion from me, just the factory recommendations. Do use a friction modifier if you have a limited slip differential.

Good thing you mentioned the friction modifier because I about forgot it has a limited slip differential.
