Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Asked by Jena Apr 23, 2017 at 12:13 AM about the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had a jeep for 1.5 years. Previous owner kept
up with it and had it for 2.5 years. Only one other
owner. It's a 2003 2wd automatic V8. Problem is, I
found out my battery was bad so I replaced it and it
starts now... Now, when I completely stop or park
and don't touch the pedal, it dies or tries to die. I
checked the alternator, is there anything else it
could be? Thanks in advance!

Possibly the TPS is having problems or the MAF sensor. Both easy to replace and relatively inexpensive to purchase. Good luck.

Could be your Idle air control valve, Mass airflow sensor. Coolant temp sensor Could be one of those, although there are several more possible causes, These were the ones mechanics were mentioning to me. Hope this helps
