Asked by Thorin Aug 24, 2016 at 02:34 PM about the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was idling in a parking lot for a little bit and when I
wanted to leave I had to give it about 2,000rpms to
get it to move. I went down the road and put it in
park and back to drive and it was fine after. I saw
in the manual that's its due for it first transmission
service to adjust the bands and stuff. Wanting to
know if thats all it needs or if it that problem is
telling me something is wrong. No transmission
codes.

Just bought it a month ago with 87,000 miles and now I have 88,300. I checked all the fluids before I bought I don't have record of it ever being serviced.
