The fuel pressure regulator on your Jeep is built in with the fuel filter assembly which is located above the rear axle, in front of the fuel tank. I found that hard to believe so when I replaced mine, I sawed the old one in half and there it was. A filter and a regulator which is simply a spring loaded gizmo all in one. I also noticed my gas mileage got better with that replacement.
I just repaired my fuel pump but it's still don't run right but I didn't change the pressure regulator I use the same housing but I changed the new fuel pump I put it into the old housing but it has the pressure regulator built onto the fuel pump

You might want to take a fuel pressure reading at the fuel injector rail where you will see a Schrader valve. The pressure should be about 60 psi. Scan for codes too as it may be an ignition problem rather than a fuel problem. That "pressure regulator" you see on your fuel pump is a relief valve but it does about the same thing.
I just changed injectors on the jeep grand Cherokee 2004 but still getting gas in the exhaust system any help
