fuel problem

Jeep grand Cherokee 2004 with a CRD 2.7 Mercedes engine. When the fuel
gauge is on half or below and I drive up a small incline the engine stops.  After
a few minutes it starts up right away with no problem. Have drooped the fuel
tank, cleaned and inspected the lines and found no problem.  HELP!
