Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I am driving my Jeep along the road at about 120 km/h and the rpm will start jumping around from about 2000rpm to about 2500rpm.It will do it for a while then settle down and then do it again.I replaced the idle control unit about 6 months ago and this helped .Do you think i need to replace it again or not.It will only shoot up and down to 2500rpm ,it does not stay up there but it is a weird feeling when you are driving at a constant speed but the vehicle feels like it is changing gear or speed .Any ideas appreciated.

Yes, I would start with the much cheaper throttle position sensor first. Or, at the very least, try cleaning the carbon out of the throttle body and see if that helps at all.
