Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I jus bought a 2005 Grand Cherokee (Limited, 4.7L
V8) and I'm unsure how to engage 4 wheel drive.
Mainly high. The T-bar on center console,...put in
Neutral, lift up T-bar, it engages Low....how do I
switch to hi...for driving in snow on roads or when
driving on the beach in sand? I don't want to do
something wrong and tear it up.

Check the owners manual. In fact read through the entire owners manual. There's a lot of tips that even the most experienced driver does not know about
My 2004. Never in 'N' position. It's always in either 'H' or 'L'. Mostly 'H' always!
Possibility that it may not have high? I know my Durango has te lights for 4-hi and lo but I only have four lock as it is awd and we didn't get the package available that came with the correct transfer case. I'm not sure just a possibility
I drive a 98 so i do not know how it would apply to an 05 put when u pull the bar up all the way shift the lever slightly to the right and continue pulling bar up. should put you in 4 hi
it is all wheel driver therefore its already in high the only thing u can do is kick it in low
