Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I was coming down a hill and my heck engine
light came on so when I got home I disconnected
my battery to see if it still stayed on after
disconnection, I reconnected battery and my dash
lights came on and flickered for 30 secs but then
went blank I then thought my battery might need
charging so I hooked it up to my battery charger
and said faulty battery so I'm assuming it's my
battery ?

I then reconnected after 15 mins and my was
unlocking and locking and then stopped .

Car was doing fine before this only had a service a
week ago so I'm very confused and upset

Would it be my battery would jump starting it help it

I can't afford a new battery till next week and need
my car ):
