how do you repair the electrical fuel pump inertia switch on a 1996 Lincoln Town Car Sil/Anniv

I have a 1996 Lincoln Town Car sometimes it starts and it will shut off, and sometimes it won't start.  I noticed that my electrical fuel pump inertia switch which is located in my trunk appears to be stuck will this be the cause for my problem.

No, if the inerstia switch was bad,it would not run at all,im thinking weak fuel pump,
