1997 Lincoln town car does not want to start but the engine turns over and it has gas has been sitting for 6 months

Turn the key to the ON position without turning over. Do u hear a whine noise coming from behind the back seat? if not, the fuel pump may have seized up from inactivity, a common problem with town cars. try this test a few times to be sure.

Check the fuel pump relay, under the hood, 20A I think. It is a 20 dollar autozone part. I have driven Fords for 25 years and replaced a few relays. But I NEVER had to replace a pump.

i have driven Fords and Lincolns for 25 years and have replace at least six fuel pumps. Easy job.
