where the compresser is at on the 99 lincoln town car

Are you talking about the air conditioner or suspension compressor. If your rear end is dragging because of the air suspension. I would recommend going to a auto parts store and buy replacement springs and remove the air bags and put them in. It's not a bad job. I did this on my 92 town car and love the ride. The air susp. was too bouncy for me. It save me buckoos of money. Less than $100 for the springs. You may have to put up with the warning light.
