Why won't my car crank over

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put a new belt on my car and it drove it for 20 minutes turn the car off when to
get back in and it would not crank over good battery and everything on my Dash
works

Could be bad battery connections, or a bad battery cable. Try and jump it to start. Then have the battery and the charging system checked.

If you do not hear the fuel pump hum when you first turn the key on it may be bad.

GuruB64, then your not getting fuel for what-ever reason. Start with checking the fuel pressure, or like FOR says, listen to hear the fuel pump prime up.
