Interior Lights Stay On in 2000 Lincoln Town while driving down road

Hello, I also had the same problem with my Continental and Town car and was very surprised when I found out how quick and easy it was to repair, worked almost immediately. WD-40 Specialist water resistant Silicone spray lubricant is exactly how it's written on the spray can, NOT the regular WD-40 for this will NOT work and will grease up the electric reader. The Silicon will not stay greasy. The can has a Flip Up spraying straw built onto the top, cannot be removed. Now that you know exactly what to buy here's the fix. Open the Drivers door, do this door first because it's the most used, spray the door close latch located on the upper left. It's the latch that holds the door closed. Then spray the holler latch bar on the car itself, open and close the door without getting in. Spray again, do not wipe off yet, get in the car start it up and close door. If light goes off, you've fixed the problem, if not spray all other doors doing the same process. This cured both my Lincolns. GL Sean
