The height sensor turning the compressor on inflating or deflating the bladders. It does constantly, even as gas is used and weight on rear changes. When the car goes up or down just a little, it may be hung up on something and when it breaks free it thumps. What I would do is get under and make sure there are no foreign objects under car, up in suspension, even on top of axle. When you turn switch in trunk off the compressor won't run
OR...where is the thumping seem to be from..what part of car?
My Marauder has the same air ride system. Is it possible you are hearing the compressor pumping up the air springs? They are quite noisy. Just a thought.
The thumping ( feels like going over the markers on the side of the highway) seams like it is coming from the rear of the car.
I will get under the car and check for anything that could hang up the inflating process. Thanks for your help. Bob
But then again you said it happens when you turn off switch..
No it never happens when I turn the switch off sorry if I stated that.

It is something hanging up when air ride kicks in you might have not installed bags right you have to deflate bags all the way then pump back up on could be hanging up
