i can put key in the ignition and turn car on everythings works but when I go to start it all goes dead and doesnt turn over

all the lights and everything works, new battery.  When u turn switch to start it goes dead
and wont turnover.  like a bad ground.

I just had a similar problem recently when on vacation in florida. Scared me at first but ended up fixing it by putting in new battery posts. It was a bad connection for the negative terminal. Check your battery connections and see if that helps

Most likely you have the wrong key they make a key that is for the valet or you have a spare key that doesn't have a chip the key they make for the valet won't let them get into the glove box won't let him get into the trunk but we'll start it but a key without a chip that's a duplicate you can put it into the ignition and everything will work but it won't start
