2002 Towncar a-c blows hot air for first five minutes then operates normally

I took it to the shop to check freon levels. they were ok. I live in Clovis. April in Clovis is not bad but July is coming.

My 2002 TC did same thing. Freon ok. once turned cold it would be ok , it turned out to be a simple rely in the fuse box under the hood (large square one) Hope your fix is as simple.

I bought one new relay and replaced with each of the 3 relays in the fuse box with no change. I did observe that the A-C compressor clutch does not engage for the first 5 or 10 minutes and when it does the A-C comes on. Now I need to find out what else besides the relay prevents the clutch from engaging. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate a response.
