Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving and high speeds like 76+, for
too long, I would start to feel the car lose
power even if pressing on the gas. After that
the Battery light would come on and my
temperature gauge would shut off and
eventually the whole car while driving as well,
but It starts back up as soon as I turn it back
off and back on. Same problem if I put it in
2nd gear

There are many reasons why your vehicle may be losing power, especially when accelerating. Some of these common causes are: Mechanical problems such as: Low compression, clogged fuel filter, dirty air filter, clogged Exhaust Manifold. ... Malfunction of actuators such as: Bad injectors, bad fuel pump, bad spark plugs.
