Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1994 grand marquis with 116,000 miles on
it and my trans is slipping but if I pull off not to fast
it catches is it the trans solenoid?? The trans
pump? Or is it best to install a new trans?

Sounds like you may need a rebiuld or replacement.
Well first check your trans fluid and a flush/filter change can do wonders. May have a sticking solenoid in the valve body (a flush may help clean those up) or a clutch pack may be fading for one or more gears.

Do a flush/ filter change before replacing. Also, Lucas xmission additive can do wonders. It shouldn't be shot with that many miles, my '93 still worked perfectly at that point.
Okay I'm gonna change the trans filter and pick up some lucas addictive and see how it goes I'll let you guys know and keep u updated thanks for the help

Made sure they use the correct fluid with the anti-shudder additive. Then, put in the Lucas if it still isn't right, or just do it anyway. Can't hurt. Also, make sure they drain the torque converter, there's a drain plug on it, when it is rotated correctly. Most cars don't have that drain plug.
