Transmission questions

Asked by Guru28L2V Mar 02, 2020 at 09:48 AM about the 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 Dr GS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I drive the transmission takes a long
time to shift from 1st to 2nd but if I put it in
drive 2 to wait for it to shift and put it back in
regular drive it drives fine.
I drive it regularly it drives great I’m giving it
to LA back to Fresno with no problems and
the transmission doesn’t slip reverse works
great it’s just this one little problem

Put in Best Line additive (Amazon), or TransX , or Lucas trans. You've got sticky valves, additive should do miracles if the trans is OK.
