Does my 1999 grand marquis need shocks in the rear?

I got under the rear and all there is is a
spring with no shock or strut like in the
front. The front suspension is going out but
why isn't the back if noting is there?

If I not mistaken your car should be equipped with rear air springs self leveling suspension.

Sweet, cause when I looked I kinda freaked out and thought I lost some stuff haha. Well now I just gotta replace the front shocks.
