My car is screeching really loud. The steering wheel gets really hard to turn at times and then the battery light comes on. Any ideas?

Does It Have any Pwr steering fluid in it, or it may be running a tad bit low

Hi I've been having trouble with my car too. I've been having to jump it, and today while in line at a fast food restaurant it stalled and wouldn't start. I got it pushed to a parking spot, let it sit with the hood open for a good 20 mins. Went to start it again again and it started. The lady said she thought it was my belt too? I got home thank goodness, but scared to drive it again. Any ideas?

My steering wheel was a little hard to turn yesterday. Stopped by service repair shop. They looked at it and told me to come back on Mon for a look see at the belt. Today the steering was fine. 1 Answer

They want me to bring car back to see if belt is worn. Fluid is fine. But today the steering was fine also.

I own a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Sedan 4-Door 4.6L 281Cu. In. V8 FLEX SOHC Naturally Aspirated car. The problem i have encountered at first was intermittent then worked while raining then completely stopped. My car has a dealer alarm installed. The entry keypad, door locks, trunk lock, dome light, rear defogger and the radio delay. What i mean by radio delay is when the car is turned off the radio will remain playing till a door is opened. The before mention does not work with remote control or manually . Yes i have changed the battery in remote yes i have tried to reset the system...
