Try brake light switch you have to put your foot on brake to take it out park if brake light switch is bad you can't take it out of park. There is a way around the switch. Turn your ignition on BEFORE the dash lights come on pull the gearshift lever into NETURAL then you can start it you will NOT have brake lights until you get the switch replaced.

Sometimes the wire to the brakelight switch breaks, then you have this problem. Happened to me twice. It's either the switch, or the wires. I crimped on a more flexable wire and a new spade terminal.
