Heater core has gone bad or a line to it is damaged
Being it happens only when AC on it could be refrigerant from AC evap coil. It could also happen when defroster is running, as that also requires AC coil. does it have an odor, does it leave a film on the windshield? If it is coolant, you can have heater core pressure tested to determine if it leaking. Check coolant level under hood as well, you should see it drop over time. If it is refrigerant leaking from evap coil, then it will reduce AC cooling power until it has all leaked out. An AC shop is the best place to take it, they can check for leaks.
What if the heat in a 2006 seems to not be hot, leaves film on windshield. And whats a good way to get tht film clear any suggestions would be great
