Interior lights will not go off

2001 Grand Marquis Interior lights will not go off. I have tried WD 40 in the door latches

In every other car I've had, you just roll it to max (to read instruments at night) and leave it there... this time I ended up with a dead battery.

I just went thru this and after much replacing parts found it to be my exterior entry keypad had leaked water into itself and snorted for no reason. Killed battery every day. Took a year to solve case.
