Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just realized I have no brakelights, markers,
blinkers, or taillights in my 02 Grand
marquis? Also noticed my interior lamps are
glowing dim!!! But Headlamps/highbeams
and all other electrical components seem to
be working fine. Any clues ?

I checked every fuse in the car but now I notice the interior lamps do not work anymore and the trunk ajar light is on when lid is closed ? The factory alarm locks and unlocks the doors but when active I can reach throigh window open door and start the car! The horn works otherwise so idk

If all fuses are ok.. I would suspect a short somewhere. My first guess would be the headlight switch. If you check youtube you will see what these sometimes look like when removed. Scorched.. my had melted plastic on connection block. My 1991 gran Marquis. Replacement fixed my problem. Both switch , and wiring with connections are available.
