2004 grand marquis idles up and down on it's own when i come to a stop

any ideas on what it can be or what i can check or test ?

Probably responding to unmetered air, check for vacuum leaks, PCV valve/elbow is a good place to start.

Throttle position sensor TPS and bad gas prob fuel filter especially if u dont keep alot gas In it gas sucks bad these days

prolly the titanium turbine took a shot of 91% peroxide/hmx. try adding air to the speedometer and accelerate to 88mph. that should tell us all we need to know.
