Aftermarket stereo harness

Asked by OAlamoudi Jul 11, 2020 at 02:01 AM about the 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Ultimate

Question type: Car Customization

So I installed an aftermarket stereo in my 2004
Mercury Grand Marquis, it works great and
the sound is perfect but I lost the bass in the
process. The aftermarket harness I purchased
came with two connectors and I plugged
everything as instructed except two blue wires
I'm sure it's for the amplifier but there are no
instructions for where these two wires should
be plugged. Please help, thank you!

The red and white phono plugs? Those get plugged into your aftermarket amplifier if you have one. You might have to get extensions to reach it.

I'm having the same issue. I have no idea where to hook up the 2 blue wired; I've tried a few things and nothing happened. I'm starting to wonder if I even have an amp because my stock radio has been out so long I don't remember. I do know that hooking them to the red wire does nothing and hooking them to the blue harness wire does nothing so... I'm lost.

He wasn't asking about the red/white plugs. He was asking where the two blue/white wires connect.
