2006 Grand Marquis vibrates a lot and takes 2-3 seconds from the time I push the gas to the time it actually starts moving

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2006 Grand Marquis is being a little odd lately. When I push the gas pedal it takes
around 2-3 seconds before the car actually moves. Doesn't go beyond 75 mph and when I
come to a stop and the car is in drive, the vibrations are more and more noticeable. The
car has only 57000 miles on it. Not sure what the problem is. Please help

Check transmision fluid,if it is good, may help to change filter in it,
The only reason to EVER change a Trans filter is when the transmission is TRASHED. Otherwise, you're wasting your time and money. Is the Check Engine light on or does it flash? Is the transmission full of fluid? What does the Transmission fluid smell and look like? You may be in for an overhaul. Around $1800 for a remanufactured Transmission with a good warranty.
The check engine light flashes 2hen the car is stopped. While driving it was fine.
Tracy is right,i just give you the basic,s,but that said, you may be in for a over haul.
The transmission fluid is a little dirty but doesn't smell or anything. The levels are fine though.
Ok,if engine light is flashing, you need to have it scaned for code, may help us help you, diagnose. You can have this done by a mechanic or most part,s store,s will do it for free.
