Where do I find the Key Code?

Asked by VicWestphal Feb 03, 2016 at 04:27 PM about the 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's not in the manual(refered me to the dealer). I was told by the Service
Manager it's located on the ignition. How many didgits should it be?

Because it's been 10 years, the manufacturer doesn't provide a record of it
any longer.

On some of these vehicles you can find it right inside under the steering wheel, just by the driver door. You will have to get on your knees and stick your head around the corner under the steering wheel and it may be there. You might want to take a flash light with you. If its not there you can also look in the manual and there may be a card with the number. It should be 5 digits.
