to start the car i have to step on the gas pedal til i'm sure it will stay running on my 1997 mitsubishi eclipse spyder gs 2.4l

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i changed the timing belt, water pump, cam shaft senor , crankshaft
senor,spark plugs and wires. now in order for the car to stay on i have to have
my foot on gas pedal for a second til its runs on its on. if not it runs than shuts
off. please help.

Have you cleaned the throttle body and IAC,all so check for vacume leaks.

no i haven't but thats is my next move will keep you posted thanks. also if you don't mind my computer is not ready to pass inspection and i have driving this car to hell and back. lol would you know anything about that?

Have the ecm scanned and post the code and what it says the more info u give us the better we are able to help you

Ok sorry for delay. I have changed timing belt and water pump ,changed o2 sensors, exhaust system ,cam shaft and crank shaft sensors,plus tighten belts. I have also cleaned as much as I can the throttle body with out removing it. The car starts but when turning on it shuts of so I have to rev gas one time so it can stay on. Also I have check engine lights on codes are p0340 and p0400 . Please help thank you.
