I have a 98 Mitsubishi eclipse spider it starts up evertime the keys turned but it dies right awaway can give extra pedal but just dies.i changed the fuel pump and still the same .

Did a mechanic diagnose the bad fuel pump or did you assume it was bad? If it was diagnosed .. what did they base the diagnosis on? If the car starts sputters and dies it's one thing .. if the car starts runs fine then quits it's another thing.... If the Fuel pump was changed without changing the fuel filter (usually under the car) or if your anti-theft is doing it is hard to tell ... but if a mechanic diagnoses the problem and he is wrong .... hold them to it if they refuse then you have recorse

Yes the guy at the garage told me the fuel pump was bad but i really didnt think it was but changed it out anyway and nope wasnt the problem .still the same .i changed it myself because he said he wouldnt charge me for nothing so i did so .in his parking lot then he replies well then i really sont know .hes no mechanic to me i dont see how he jas a buisness
