Please help I have a 2001 Mitsubishi spider GT has spark no start. Getting fuel, cranks just will not start. No codes, was running fine shut it off and when I went to go back out just will not start. 1 week prior blew a fuse for the clock 15 amp but other then that no problems.166000 miles bought it at 130000 was told timing belt was done at 100000.

Spay some starting fluid into the air intake. See if it will fire up. If not, pull a couple of plugs and see if they appear to be black and fouled. You may have a bad Engine Coolant Temp sensor. If bad, they can cause too much fuel to be injected upon start up and flood the system. Get some MAF cleaner and give you Mass Air Flow a good cleaning also.
Thank you plugs are not black and fouled can I check anything else? Changed rotor and cap also
No codes so it's a tough call. Do you have anti theft? You might want to put a fuel pressure gauge and see what you have for pressure. May have a bad regulator.
If you are getting fire,do as reelin68 said, sound,s like fuel pump may not be pumping right.
if you have proper fuel pressure and spark then check that when you just turn key to run position that the check engine light does come on. If not check for a blown fuse. Check engine light should come on when key is first turned on. This is to let you know that the computer has power. If it does come on then try pressing down on the gas pedal a little while trying to start it. If it starts or try's to start then check your idle air control valve and or egr valve. Either could cause this. If still nothing then I would do a compression check to check for bent valves due to a timing belt issue. Might also want to check timing belt for proper alignment and while there check crank position sensor. Sometimes a bad belt has been known to damage the sensor causing a no start issue.

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse spyder gt, I was going down the freeway and it died completely on me. I've changed the starter, alternator, battery, coils, timing chain, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, cam shaft pretty much what I could think of. I notice that I have no compression at all. It cranks but will not start at all.
