Limited-Slip Rear Differential Standard?
I looking at buying a used '01 Mitsubishi Montero Sport XLS 4WD. I read once in a 4WD magazine that the Montero Sport is the only SUV on the market that comes with a limited-slip rear differential. Is this true? I live in the mountains in snow country and can't seem to find any SUV's with "posi". Do you know of any other makes that have it standard or as an option. I know the jack it up and turn one of the wheels trick, but is there any other way to tell, such as a VIN code or options code that is affixed somewhere?
