Turn signals not working

Asked by Coreena Nov 08, 2018 at 06:17 PM about the 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 Dr S Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Turn signals not working. Four ways work, head
lights and hi beams work, brake lights work. Fuses
are good for the ones we could find (2 fuse blocks
under hood, one in glove box, one under the one in
glove box). What else can we check to get them
working?

Those bubs are always double contact. They carry out two functions (1) Turn and (2) emergency signals. You need to remove the bubs and inspect the elements inside each bub and make sure none is cut inside.

All brand new bulbs. Retook them out and checked everything. It's all good and clean. Is there another fuse that we missed? A relay or something?

The turn signal come on only when the ignition is turn on and the emergency signals come on even when there is no key in the ignition.

If the flasher works but the signal lights don't then its obviously not bulbs. They both run off the same filament. The signal light switches eventually wear out. I'd say that's most likely your problem. Mine is starting to give trouble as well. They're getting to be old cars, things wear out.
