Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is a metal clamp that I guess disappears when your driver side door closes so the power click
works, I pushed it down and it wouldn't go up so I try to find a way and I kind of messed it up a bit and
when I drive I have to slam the door really hard and lock it myself so it wont' open when I drive

Do you mean the latch on the back of the door or the metal bar at the front between the two hinges?

Sounds like your latch is shut. Get a Phillips head screw driver and pull on it as you hold the handle in the open position. The opening should be pointing at the car. When the latch hits the bale that's bolted to the B pillar, it rotates down and is held closed. It sounds like yours is down with the door open.
