My 95 Grand Am will not start

Asked by chevy454 Mar 19, 2012 at 08:36 PM about the 1995 Pontiac Grand Am 2 Dr GT Coupe

Question type: General

My car ran fine the last time i used had a rough idle to it but ran. Next time i went to start it it would not start. None of dash lights would come on. I kept turning the ignition on and off several times and would finally hear the fuel pump and all the dash lights finally came on, but the car would still not start. Has fuel pressure but haven't checked for spark. I also noticed when i went to see if my signals worked that when i hit the turn signal my doors would unlock..?? Don't have a clue what is wrong.

My car too would stall out from drive speed to idle. Replaced TPS and IACV new plugs wires and new fuel pump and filter. This was done before this problem occured.

check connections on the battery for corrosion & tightness,if thats good have somebody wiggle the battery cables at the same time crank the engine. .
