Battery light problem

I have a pontiac grand am gt1 v.6 4dr sedan the
other day i left my interior car light on and when i
started my car the next morning the battery light
was on. i went for a drive than about 15 minutes
later the other warning lights came on then car
started to die down. I replaced the battery and the
car starts with no issues but the battery light
comes on after i start it.. anything i can do myself
to check what the reason to be?

Have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am I just replaced the battery but the battery light still comes bon but! It's -1 outside will that indicate the is not enough charge getting to my alternate
