Are you interested in trading for a car? I have a black 2000 Pontiac grand Am GT 3.4l v6 with Ram air, sedan, command start, 216k kms and engine running strong, very fuel efficient, $45 to fill empty at $.99 per L and get 450 to 550 km a tank. brand new shocks and struts, brakes , ebrakes and rotors. Starts in -40 every time. Freshly charged A/C, Just finishing up an engine overhaul with new gaskets, seals, valves and seats and other hardware, new trans shift, and pressure control solenoids and pressure switch plate. As well as new oil and filters all around, fuel pressure regulator, thermostat, and fresh coolant system flush. Replaced belt, front wheel bearing hubs, rebuilt power steering pump, engine and tranny mounts and a bunch more upgrades. Some minor Exterior deformities, (rust is minimal). Interior is in great shape too. After market stereo system, 900Wamp and 10" sub and box. Also a second battery the trunk connected. LED Halos headlights and LED fog lights with halos and two 6" LED bars for those extra foggy mornings lol. Just waiting on a cple parts I missed when I ordered the overhaul kit to get the car done, but should be soon. Should be ready by Aug 1st at the very latest. I also warranty the service for any failed parts I installed for 3 months or 2000km what ever comes first. I can also supply parts receipts and service reports. I had a issue with my 2000 Grand Am GT harshly slamming into gear after a bit of driving, felt like the tranny just wanted to tear off the mounts, ughhhh Baffled me now for months since I bought it, I changed everything, from rebuilding eng and tranny to oil and filters to solenoids and sensors, (I had the entire main harness apart inspecting wires and re- loomed during rebuild) always replacing everything where I removed it from!!!) and STILL it kept on doing the same thing after first hitting 60kmh when warmed up then it continued slamming into gear and harsh shifts. Even from a stand still. For a while I was consumed by it every day, why???!!! WHY???!!!... WHAT AM I MISSING???? reading post after post after post.... Finally tonight, oh boy.... I think I got it!!! Turns out it was a harness issue, there’s a ground splice pack that's was supposed to be on a transmission stud behind the tranny fill cap, some cases maybe poor connection… but the folks that had it before I owned it grounded it to the brake piston mount bolt a few inches away. I reviewed the wiring schematics and they stated it should be fastened to the tranny so I swapped it and the shifting is perfect now. Better than since the day I bought it. 20 year old car with some real gitty up and go now that everything's rebuilt too lol.
