Turn signal activates hazard signals on 2001 Pontiac Grand Am se (V6)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So at first the turn signal would just stick so the mechanic said to replace the
flasher.  After doing that, now when I turn on either the left or right signal, all 4
signals flash (like the hazard light blinks).  Mechanic said that the passenger
rear light circuit board needs to be replaced.  After replacing it, the problem is
still happening.  Can someone please help?

So, I was told by my mechanic that the flasher needs to be changed originally when the signal was just sticking and not flashing. Once I changed the flasher then all signals flash together, something like the hazard signal being on. Are you saying that the turn signal switch is separate then the flasher relay (that controls the turn and hazard signals)?

I see so your recommendation would be to check and possibly replace the entire turn signal switch assembly (that is behind the steering wheel) which controls the signals right and left as well as the Wipers and washer controls?
