Why does my car keep cutting off but

Very frustrating and hard to diagnose. You may have better luck having a shop keep the car and run it around until the problem shows up again. When it cuts out is the time to look for the problem. When it is running, you will not find the cause. Could be electrical, fuel delivery, or sensor related but there are many causes beyond a battery or fuel pump. Sounds like one for the shop.
