If I determine my car will not start becasue of the starter, could it be that the Solenoid just needs to be replaced?

Probably easier to replace the entire starter than it would be to replace just the solenoid.

not too hard to replace the solonoid if you know what your doing. for 40 bucks you get a new starter with a warranty all depends how much time you want to spend
