What fuse and which wire do I use to hook my cooling fans up to.

Neither fans will kick on at all. The
car runs over 200 constantly and
gets hotter in town. All the fuses and
relays are good and I had the temp
sensor replaced. I've had two
different mechanism tell me it's an
electrical issue they can't fix it. The
only other thing I can think of to get
them to run is hook them strait up to
the alternator or a fuse. The fans run i
hooked them to the battery. I've had
to replace my resivoir twice now it
keeps cracking because of the heat.

Veronica: It sounds as tho you have a *control side* circuit issue with the fans. If the fan motors can be engaged by taking them directly off the battery then there is nothing wrong with them themselves. Try this...(if you can't do it yourself get someone who can)....locate the relays for the fan motors (they should be in the electrical center under the hood)....pull the relays from their sockets....with a jumper wire bridge the 12v battery source terminal directly to the terminal that feeds the motors. The battery should be pin #30 on the relay blade terminal and the fan motors should be pin#87. If the fans come on by jumpering then there is a problem on the *control* side that the ECM takes control of. That would need to be diagnosed to locate the source of the problem. It could be faulty wiring/failed ECM sensor or something more serious, but it's NOT impossible to correct.
